Tiger, lurking on my loan.
Probably he’s not alone.
Soon his pack will come along,
rend a feast and then be gone.
In my backyard, one would think,
tiger packs do not exist,
but I’ve seen them with my eyes,
felt their claws deep in my thighs.
In the green grass I am pinned,
flower-powder in the wind,
once again, I don’t know how,
must collect back my home bound.
And all though I’m missing parts
from my future and my past,
I beg myself not to forget;
What you fear is what you get.
Oh lord, dear lord within,
let me ride upon your wind.
Lift me high above this ground.
Help me turn this pain around.
Tell me what I need to hear,
that I am safe and you are near.
Tiger, lurking on my loan.
Probably he’s not alone.
Soon his pack will come along,
rend a feast, and then be gone.
