Feel At Home 03:40
Feel at home Lyrics by Yael Nachshon Levin & Aviv Noiman Music by Aviv Noiman. If you've got a sneaky heart, if you feel a little barred, the keys’ under the rug just come on in. You may kick off your shoes, pick a record, spin some blues, pour yourself a little booze it ain't a sin. Take a walk inside my place, the land lord works in mysterious ways, sniff the laundry, the flower vase, the dirty bin. I’m Letting down my guard, if you’ve always felt a little barred well, the keys’ under the rug just come on in. In my dreams, my head’s against your chest. Something’s pounding, I can’t get no rest. I’m ready now, it’s open, you’re welcome into all my mess, right down to the bone, and feel at home. If there's a password crack the code. I bet your ass is freezing cold. Inside is warm and I won’t ask you where you’ve been. Won’t you help me find myself, underneath this old defense? I need your brains to find a way under my skin. It’s been 20 years, or more, maybe 30, I’m not sure, since I saw you first and then my heart stood still. I’m ready now, my love. If this is what you’ve been dreaming of, the keys’ under the rug just come on in. In my dreams, my head’s against your chest. Something’s pounding, I can’t get no rest. I’m ready now, it’s open, you’re welcome into all my mess, right down to the bone, and feel at home.

Dreams 03:44
Dreams Sometimes it’s getting noisy at night, after closing the lights, in this spiral maze of my soul. I find myself in front of a door that I’ve seen times before and behind an infested black hole. The sun then rise, I open my eyes and gifts fall down from the sky. Sometimes just when I think it's alright and you’re holding me tight, I drift to the depths of the sea. I look above to find a way through giant shades of dark blue, hovering, waiting for me. The sun then rise, I open my eyes and gifts fall down from the sky. The children say “let's go out and play”, I stretch my arms out to catch those give outs. The cherry trees are slowly blossoming, and you’re with me, you are with me, you are with me.

Far Away 03:14
Far away Far away from the starting point. Now I’m here, and here’s my voice. Looking back, looking far ahead, It’s the same green tree, and it’s you and me. Hey hey, everything is lost before it’s found. Baby, let your thoughts escape, they’ll come around. Far away, in a changing time, following the streams inside, drifting back, sailing far ahead, in the same old boat, and so far it floats. Hey, It’s getting darkest just before the dawn. Baby, hold me now before this moment’s gone. Homeland, white sand, salty see, hear my plea; Take me back, take me far ahead, to the same green tree, to you and me. Hey hey, everything is lost before it’s found. Baby, let your thoughts escape, they’ll come around. Hey, It’s getting darkest just before the dawn. Baby, hold me now before this moment’s gone. Home land, white sand, salty sea… Home land, white sand, hear my plea…

Today Today I’ll try, all through the day I’ll try not to blame myself, not to see the flaws, not to fall apart, not to lock my jaws. Today I’ll do my best, all through the day I’ll try not to think only of me. Think of someone else, my children, my friends, one from my homeland, sinking into the Levantine sea. Today I’ll stop telling myself what to do, all the time, I will simply resign. Days of getting lost, looking for the source, fighting the forcing habit pulling me down into pain. Today I’ll try, all through the day I’ll try not to blame myself, not to see the flaws, not to fall apart, not to lock my jaws. Days of getting lost, looking for the source, fighting the forcing habit pulling me down into pain. What is there to gain?

Gut Feeling 03:12
Gut feeling Gut feeling. Go with your gut feeling. Say no if your gut feeling tells you so. She knows you from your first breathing, straight through your first grieving. No one was listening. Now it’s loud and clear, your gut feeling, go with your gut feeling. Take hold of your own healing. Go, go, go, you know you know.

Tiger 05:05
Tiger Tiger, lurking on my loan. Probably he’s not alone. Soon his pack will come along, rend a feast and then be gone. In my backyard, one would think, tiger packs do not exist, but I’ve seen them with my eyes, felt their claws deep in my thighs. In the green grass I am pinned, flower-powder in the wind, once again, I don’t know how, must collect back my home bound. And all though I’m missing parts from my future and my past, I beg myself not to forget; What you fear is what you get. Oh lord, dear lord within, let me ride upon your wind. Lift me high above this ground. Help me turn this pain around. Tell me what I need to hear, that I am safe and you are near. Tiger, lurking on my loan. Probably he’s not alone. Soon his pack will come along, rend a feast, and then be gone.

The bird of popular song I hear you in your sleep, we both take turns in the deep, you know, I know, nightmare growl, soothing hand. You worry all the time, we are the perfect rhyme, you know, I know, childhood demons, childhood dreams. The further we go through the day, the more we face at night. sunset, sunrise, sunset, sunrise. I told you straight ahead that first time in the sand, you know, I know, football shields, hidden souls. The bird of popular song, she speaks our mother tongue, you know, I know, our story will go on. The further we go through the day, the more we face at night. sunset, sunrise, sunset, sunrise.

It's Ok 03:22
It’s Ok If you get lost, call my name. Just the sound of you voice and I’ll be there to tell you; Don’t be ashamed, it's not your fault, its ok to break, it's just how it goes. If you get lost, call my name. You don’t have to say exactly what it was, I’ll know to tell you; Don’t be ashamed, it's not your fault, its ok to break down, it's just how it goes. It’s ok to brake. That’s just how it goes. My lovely boy, my lovely boy, my beautiful boy. If you get lost, just call my name. Form the sound of you voice I’ll be there to tell you; Don’t be ashamed, it’s not your fault, its ok to brake, it’s just how it goes. It’s ok to brake. That's just how it goes. My lovely boy, my lovely boy, my beautiful boy.

Hold On 03:45
Hold on It’s this time of year, and your beauty shows, in this time of year it gets high as it gets low. And your heart beats loudly, I can hear it over here. The earth is trembling. It’s this time of year, hold on, hold on. It’s a ferris wheel. It goes round and round. Sometimes you are up, sometimes you’re down. And your life is racing fast, too fast for you to hear, your heart is whispering; It’s this time of year, hold on, hold on. Hold your posture, there will be an after. Things have changed, they’ll change again. Hold on, my friend. It’s this kind of year, nothing is for sure. Only blue surrounds, you can’t see the shore. Let this song speak softly into your darkest fear; Love is the anchor of this endless wheel, hold on, hold on. Hold your posture, there will be an after. Things have changed, they’ll change again. Hold on, my friend.

Hummingbird 03:12
Hummingbird Joyful little sister, nectar you crave. The sweetness of the flowers is the love you gave. Fly in all directions with the black sun. Your song awakens forward, backward, up and down. Joyful little sister spread your wings. Don’t let anybody tell you not to sing. Fly in all direction with the black sun. your song awakens forward, backward, up and down. Tasting the essences, radiating colors. I want to follow you my sister, from flower to flower. Pretty little sister, spread your joy. Beauty is the target, music fills the void. Fly in all direction with the black sun. Your song awakens forward, backwards, up and down. Tasting the essences, radiating colors. I want to follow you my sister, from flower to flower.

about

"Tigers and Hummingbirds" is a musical illustration of my personal healing process. Thank god for music. Music is a loyal and truthful friend.
I feel absolutely blessed for being able to participate in the process of creating it.

Dealing with CPTSD (complex post trauma) is a lifetime journey one can’t handle alone. I have been isolating my suffering for many years. About 2 years ago, after facing my personal ‘dead end’, I made a vow to dedicate myself to my own healing. This was the most significant step forward. That was the beginning of a long and winding road (still on that road) of searching the source of suffering in me, searching for ways to heal and practicing my way through life, hoping to find some light in the darkness that took hold of me for so long. Along this road I have found incredible humans who have guided me in their own way and knowledge with compassion and dedication. I might not have survived without the help of these wonderful people.

With this album I hope to encourage the listener to trust your gut feeling, to acknowledge your pain, and to know you are not alone. There are ways to heal. There is light, and above all there is love. “There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in” (Leonard Cohen).

I wish to deeply thank Guy Sternberg, Greg Cohen, Matthias Lück, all the incredible musicians participating in this album, my parents, my brothers, my grandmother, my friends and the Framed family and community.

Most of all I wish to thank my love Aharon Levin, my kids David and Binyamin and my dog Pancake for your unconditional love and support.

My deepest appreciation and gratitude to ‘Initiative Music’ and Mr Jan Fischer for supporting this album financially and therefore making it possible.

Last but not least, I’de like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, the professionals who’ve been an inseparable part of my healing process. Your life’s work, your generosity and your wisdom benefited my life and my music indefinitely (mentioned by the order of coming into my life):
Dr Yael Arbel, Dr Sarno, Dr Nir Brosh (drbrosh.com), Francheska Dietrich (franziskadieterich.com), Anat Modylevsky, Dr Gabor Mate (drgabormate.com), Dr Galia Tanay, Thich Nhat Hanh.
